We played the original Clank game once with a couple friends of ours and we really enjoyed it. When we want to purchase or own copy, Clank in Space just seemed to be more our style. So we grabbed that one. I don't remember much from the first time we played Clank, except that I really enjoyed it. This one I enjoyed too. I think I like it more than the original. This game has very cute graphics and cards that are just fun. They are a play on many of the science fiction video games, movies, and books. So being a real geek and all, I loved that!

The object of the game is to go through the spaceship... that is in real trouble, and find an artifact that you need to bring back to the shuttle port for escape. Each artifact has a different amount of points and you can only carry one. The higher the points the further you have to go to reach the artifact. The danger lies within getting out in time before the spaceship blows or the boss gets you. There are cards and cubes drawn out out of a bag that make things a little more hairy.

The mechanics are just nice. It's deck building but its also a press your luck element that is essential to the game play. Seriously this is not an easy game to play. There are many things you need to keep track of, plenty ways to plan your path and your win. So many factors. Even with all the strategy, its not a real serious game. I mean it is serious where you don't want to die.... but its fun and a lot of laughs and I really really enjoyed it. Can't wait to play it again and.... there is an expansion out there. YAY! I will be purchasing this!

What Michael Thought:

This is a very interesting game where you must move through a spaceship to grab an artifact and get out before you make too much noise and alert Lord Eradikus.

It works by drafting cards and building your deck to get through the spaceship faster. The board actually has different set ups to make the game more challenging which also creates different and varied gameplay.

I really like the theme and artwork in the game, and like the fact it has cards and pawns that look kind of like objects/people from actual sci-fi TV shows. Like Dark Jidu with a dual like light sword. A Nibbling Beast that reminds you of Stitch.A Card that says Boldly Go with a alien with a red shirt (Star Trek).A Doctor Who type card. And the pawns look like some characters from  some well known films. I won't spoil all the fun but there was some great detail put into every aspect of this game. I recommend this for all gamers and especially for the sci-fi geeks out there.
