Tag, You're It: Disney Song Tag

Part of Your World- What book world would you change yourself for so you could be a part of that world? 

Ash-
That's a really hard one! I have so many. I'd love to be anywhere there are mermaids and fairies and such! Maybe Peter Pan? 

Jenn-
Really all the books I read are horrific or crazy or cruel. So I am happy just being in my world. Although I would love some space travel maybe.

Let It Go- What book did you not want to finish because you loved it so much?

Ash-
I don't ever really not want a book to end. Because I want to know the ending. A series I never wanted to end was The Walking Dead. Because I love it. But alas it has come to an end. Which I still need to read it. 

Jenn-
I am going to go with the Lunar Chronicles. I loved that series so so much. 

Tale as Old as Time- What book do you think is/will be timeless?

Ash-
Oh so many. Alice in Wonderland, Harry Potter, The Outsiders, Peter Pan.

So This is Love- What book were you hesitant to read at first but ended up loving?

Ash-
I always say The Call by Peader O'Guillin but I wanted to switch it up so I'll say The Canterville Ghost by Oscar Wilde and Eliza and Her Monsters by Francesca Zappia are my most recent reads that I was surprised to love.

Jenn-
Tell the Wind and Fire by Sarah Rees Brennan- I really didn't expect to love and feel in this book as much as I did. 

Friend Like Me- Which character would you like to be your best friend?

Ash- EIKO! Always EIKO! Anyone from The Lunar Chronicles TBH.

Cress from  Lunar Chronicles... and Eiko. 

Reflection- What book really made you think/changed the way you viewed things?

Ash- I can't really say anything that's made me change the way I think. Two that come to mind are Noughts and Crosses by Malorie Blackman and Life as We Knew It by Susan Beth Pfeffer.

Jenn-
I am going to agree with Ash on both her choices. I remember reading Life as We Knew and I was eating toast... I started thinking... do I really need this toast right now. Will it be better to save it for later. That book freaked me out.

How Far I'll Go- What series have you been wanting to finish but can't seem to?

Ash-
Man again soooo many! The Cherub series by Robert Muchamore, the Red Queen series, the Selection series (I have THREE more!), the Unwind series. I can keep going!

So many... I would say Sookie Stackhouse and The Others. 

Colors of the Wind- What's your favorite beautiful cover?

Ash-
This is the first one that came to mind, it's always been one of my favorite covers.

Jenn-
Can't say for sure it's my favorite... but its some of my favorites I can think of right now..

1. An author you'd like to read (That you've never read before)

Ash:
Oh man I have a ton... The first to come to mind is Ellen Hopkins. I see her books everywhere and I keep wanting to read them!

Jenn:
Ash has been bugging me about Stephanie Kate Strohm. I am not the biggest fan of contemporaries but her books sound good enough that I have added them to my TBR for years and have never read them. So I need to read her this year. 

2. A book you'd like to read

Ash:
Oh! I have sooo many. The new releases I'm most looking forward to are...



Jenn:

What kind of question is this. I would like to read them all. All the books. Okay so this year the most anticipated that I must read will be.... 

3. A classic you'd like to read

Ash:
It's a re-read, but I'd love to read it again.



Jenn:

I have never read this book and would like to before I see the movie. 

4. A book you'd like to re-read

Ash:
I have a ton! I'll just put standalones here. A lot of my old school reads.



Jenn:

Okay so many books I need to read the first again because the second or third is coming out or just came out and I don't remember the prior book or didn't keep up with the series. (run on sentence!) 

5. A book you've had for ages and want to read

Ash:
I have so many of those too! I have stacks of books I bought or was gifted that I just haven't read yet. Here's just a few.




Jenn:
Why ask me these question... Shame and guilt and panic... all the feels that come with these questions!

6. A big book you'd like to read

Ash:
Maybe this will be my year!



Jenn:
I don't have many on my list that isn't part of a series. so This one I just added and it's pretty big. 

7. An author you've previously read and would like to read more of

Ash:
Cecil Castellucci, April Henry, Stephen King just to name a few.

Jenn:
Marissa Meyer, Lisa Jewell, Laura Lippman, Ruth Ware, Rae Carson, Jennifer E Smith, Rachel Cain

8. A book you got for Christmas and would like to read

Ash:
I've read most of the books I got for Christmas! Go me! I just have one more that I'm currently working on.



Jenn:
Huh, I didn't get any books for Christmas. Well that's different. 

9. A series you want to read from start to finish

Ash:
Sooo many. Most I want to start over and finish. I guess the biggest one at this point for me is either the Morganville Vampire series or the Cherub series. 

Jenn:
So many! Maybe I will focus on these this year.

10. A series you want to finish that you've already started

Ash:
This is the biggest one for me. The last book just came out so I NEED to finish it.



Jenn:
Currently I am working on Sookie Stackhouse and The Others

11. Do you set reading goals? If so how many books do you want to read in 2020?

Ash:
I have to have goals, if not I just feel lost. I want to read no less than 200 books in 2020. I feel I can surpass that, but just in case I set it low. 

Jenn:

I do set goals every year. I would like to read 200 books this year. 

12. Any other reading goals?

Ash:

I want to read at least one series from start to finish every month in 2020. That and I want to make a big dent in books I already own, so I can weed through them. I have so many I haven't read.

Jenn:
I would love to finish at least 6 series this year. In truth I would love to finish more than that but I am not good at finishing series. I am so ADD.
