The scene this morning for Harry Puente, was one that you would likely see in a horror film. Not one you would think to happen on this small goat farm in Zapata, Texas. He found 10 of his goats on the ground with blood trails nearby and what he described as chupacabra paw prints near the goats.
The scene this morning for Harry Puente, was one that you would likely see in a horror film. Not one you would think to happen on this small goat farm in Zapata, Texas. He found 10 of his goats on the ground with blood trails nearby and what he described as chupacabra paw prints near the goats.
"I saw the blood first. There was lots of it. Made me think I was in a movie. No bueno, " Puente said. "I smell its stench when I came near the goats. Smells like a hard boiled egg."
Harry has been on this farm for many years and taken care of goats for decades and never seen an attack like this.
"I've seen goats die, been attacked. But not like this. It was awful and made me sick. Their was strange holes in their necks, and looked like Dracula had bitten them."
This story has been told many times over the years from many different sources and the same creatures is described over and over.
"El Chupacabra!" Puente says with horror.
Another farmer/rancher Jose Sanchez in Presidio, Texas claims to have seen it as it was flying off.
"It had red eyes, big eyes. It had fangs and a serpent like tongue. And it flew away on wings," Sanchez said. He said it killed some of his goats and cattle before he saw it.
The chupacabra attacks have been witnessed from Puerto Rico, California, Texas, Mexico, and even Australia.
"Once you see its eyes," Sanchez said. "You can't get it out of your head. It like something out of this world."
No one knows where this creature comes from, and many scientists have stated that it is just modern folklore.
" It's a bunch of folklore. There is no scientific evidence to prove such a creature exists. It is been seen by some people with no credible evidence for us to study," Dr. Stephen Falkner said.
FBI Agent Fox Mulder has heard many stories of the chupacabra thinks there is more to them the folklore has told.
"There is definitely something out of this world about these experiences. Something doesn't quite add up about the attacks and the length of time between. It could very well be a creature not of Earthen origin and that is why many scientists have been unable to track this. Creature down," Mulder said.
While his partner Dana Scully has other explanations of the mysterious chupacabra. "I think people want to believe in something fantastical. So they create an image from their own imagination. They think and believe they saw it so they create this unusual creature when in fact it was most likely a wolf or some other predator that was responsible," Scully said.
One thing is for certain more animals have been attacked and for many it is the chupacabra.
"It looks like a demonio," Puente. "Something El Diablo loosed on Earth to punish us."

Hmm, something seems to have went wrong when I hit publish! Anyway I love films and books about chupacabras. I saw that Alamo one if it was the Erik Estrada one and quite liked it. I have a few tbr books waiting like Night of the Chupacabra by Michael Hebler and Fury of the Chupacabras by Raegen Butcher.
