Question of the Week:
Change the Plot. If you could, what book would you change the ending or a plot thread? Go ahead and do it...change it.
Answer:

HMMM. I really can't think of any I would change. I know this is a boring answer, but I don't think about changing anything in a book. It isn't my story, so I can't imagine it going any other way than what the author planned. A few books I wish the character building, pacing, or excitement would have been better..... Divergent. I thought the idea, the plot, the storyline... it was good, well thought out, but I couldn't connect to any of the characters and it was way too slow for me. Not enough excitement to keep me interested. SO there are a few I would of loved to be written a bit differently and I feel was a bit of a disappointment for the plot idea. I know not really answering the question. So sorry.

  1. I get what your saying and I agree mostly! I found this to be kinda hard to answer. There's books out there that I didn't finish b/c it was just that bad but I couldn't say I would change anything about even that kind of book b/c I didn't read the whole thing to make that judgement. Does that make any sense at all lol!!
No, but I dug deep and I picked Allegiant. So we were kind of on the same page!

  2. Hopping through. I liked all of Divergent but I wasn't a huge fan of Allegiant. I loved the ending but I didn't like the book overall.

  3. I agree! Although I did think of 2 books to "tweak" not outright change. Mostly just changing love interests! But yeah. When it comes to the whole changing plot or whatever I can't do it. I can't write fan fiction either for that reason as well. Like you said, it's not my ideas or world. It's the author's.

I enjoyed Divergent myself. And seeming to fall in the minority for liking Allegiant as well. I cried, but I still enjoyed the series as a whole and that book too.

  4. I so get what you mean! It depends on the book, the way it turns out and all. There are a lot of book I'd like to change though. And Divergent is one of them :)

  5. I lost interest after a while too. Which is unfortunate because I think it had a great storyline and concept for the most part.
