What made me pick this book up: 

Jenn had it on audio, and the cover looked amazing.

What did I like about the cover: 

I love the angel wings on it and how decayed it looks. It is really a beautiful cover.

What made me read this book: 

The synopsis was really interesting. You don't get many books about angels taking over. Or many books about angels at all to be honest. I had seen it on our audible for a while, and when it fit in for a task for our reading challenge, I decided it was time to read it.

What did I like the most: 

The story itself was interesting and different than most apocalyptic books. Like I said, trying to find angel books is difficult. It's nice having something different for once, though I do still love my zombies.

Penryn was strong- albeit just a bit dumb and overly stubborn at times, it got just a bit annoying, her being so hard headed. But she did what she thought she had to do. 

What didn't I like: 

There was so much back and forth between Penryn and Raffe. It was annoying how emotionless and stoic Raffe was at times. And like I said, Penryn was way too stubborn at times.

Would I read the rest of the series/more from this author?
Yes, eventually. So I can find out what happened, but I'm not in a hurry.
