Answer Me This. We are hoping this will help our friends get to know us a just a tad bit better.
What are you scared of? What keeps you up at night?
Jenn-
Ash and I share a few fears, such as losing everyone we love and being buried alive. But I have a few different ones as well.
Sharks.
Ever since I saw Jaws, I won't go into an ocean.
Germs.
I don't drink or eat after anyone, not even my husband. And germs, in general, freak me out.
Cockroaches.
Demon creatures.
Being trapped.
Being trapped anywhere, buried alive, stuck in an elevator, surrounded by people.
Ash-
I have quite a few things I'm scared of. I am a huge scaredy cat and I worry about just about everything. Literally. If it's something bad and I learned about it, guess what? It's in my head.
But really. I have a list of things I'm scared of.
My biggest fears are...
Losing the ones I love.
Of course, this is a huge fear. I think it's such a normal thing to be scared of. The thought of losing someone close to me is terrifying. Especially my son, Finn. It keeps me up at night thinking about all the ways I could possibly lose him. I have nightmares about it.
Clowns.
I mean seriously. Who likes clowns?! They are terrifying and deadly and killer icky clowns. Ugh.
I blame this one purely on the fact my babysitter let me watch IT when I was like 2. Ugh. Ugh. Ugh.
Dolls.
Again, my babysitter let me watch Chuckie. I had great sitters didn't I? But also going to sleepovers as a kid and hearing all the urban legends about the dolls. Whole bunch of nope nope nope.
Being buried alive.
I'm not nearly as claustrophobic as Jenn is. But the thought of being buried alive is awful. It's making it hard to breathe just thinking about it.
Asylums.
Asylums freak me out so bad. Like, it's not a fear of mine really. But the thought of spending time in one eeks me out bad. I would love to go with a crew of people and take pictures. But anything more than that I'll have to pass.
Eyeless eye sockets.
One time when I worked door to door this man answered the door and he had no eyeballs. Like his eyes were open and I could see in his sockets and. Ugh I'm gonna vomit. It was so bad. I even used to have nightmares about these kids I used to babysit, and I would walk in and they would all turn to me and have no eyeballs.
No gif for this one, I'm saving y'all from that image.
*gag*
So that's it for now. I have more, I'm sure. But at this point I'm thinking about eyeless sockets and I can't do it anymore.
What about y'all? What gives you the heebie-jeebies and keeps you awake at night?
I am also terrified of dolls, specifically clown dolls! It was all those episodes of Are You Afraid of the Dark! And agreed about sharks too! My mom let me watch Jaws when I was 9 and I've been scared of sharks ever since.
ReplyDeleteThis is why I don't watch or read horror. Pretty much everything in that category terrifies me. I couldn't even look at your gifs, lol. More realistic fears for me are definitely fear of losing loved ones, especially my son.
ReplyDeleteI’m scared of everything. Bugs, small spaces, losing people I love, failure, car crashes, public speaking, cops, getting extremely lost, deep water, strangers, germs. Yeah. Mostly everything.
ReplyDeleteAj @ Read All The Things!
I'm scared of dying (I want to be an immortal, kind, reading sort of vampire). I'm terrified of spiders and most bugs. I hate clowns and creepy dolls. I have a fear of fire in my house destroying everything or being flooded. I don't like leaving the house unless I have to.
