At fourteen, Nick Gautier thinks he knows everything about the world around him. Saved by a mysterious warrior who has more fighting skills than Chuck Norris, Nick is sucked into the realm of the Dark-Hunters: immortal vampire slayers who risk everything to save humanity.

Nick quickly learns that the human world is only a veil for a much larger and more dangerous one: a world where the captain of the football team is a werewolf and the girl he has a crush on goes out at night to stake the undead.

But before he can even learn the rules of this new world, his fellow students are turning into flesh eating zombies. And he's next on the menu.
As if starting high school isn't hard enough. . .now Nick has to hide his new friends from his mom, his chainsaw from the principal, and keep the zombies and the demon Simi from eating his brains, all without getting grounded or suspended. How in the world is he supposed to do that?

Review:

Warning: this review will be gushing good things and may bring my inner teen girl come out.

I absolutely loved this book. It was amazing. I have not read any of Kenyon’s Dark Hunter series but I may need to invest in them to get my Acheron! This book had everything I want in a book. Humor lots of humor, so much humor I was in tears at times. Action, I mean zombie fighting, ghoul fighting, knives, guns, ect fighting. Mystery and darkness from  a hot male (Acheron) and a little bit of romance (not involving Acheron thank goodness, I want him all to myself)  And so much more!

So Nick is the main character, which is the teen version of the main character in the author’s adult series. He is 14 and is brand spanking new to the world of creep. He is thrown into action and finds out quickly that things that go bump in the night do exist. He is funny, sarcastic, and a little rebellious with a side of manners. Nick’s mother is around for parts of the book and is a very little, strong, and very protective over Nick. We then have Acheron…. Oh there are not enough words in the world to describe Acheron. He superior, he is bossy, he is intelligent, he is impatient, he is rich, and he is HOT! No need to say more. Then there is Simi. She is the absolute funniest and most  unique character that has ever existed in my world. She loves Tabasco sauce, humans, and Acheron. She is the one that had me in tearful laughter.

So to sum it up we have is a hot guy, funny boy, Tabasco human loving creature, zombie fighting, and of course world saving story.  Sound good? It was OMG amazing. I hope everyone who reads it enjoys it as much as I did. This is a for sure a series to keep on my shelf!

  1. The second book review this morning where I am familiar with the author in an adult book sense and see they are writing YA. Very interesting!
