Board Game Break Time: Ghost Fightin' Treasure Hunters

Board Game Break Time is a new feature we're bringing in, where we play board games and review them.

Average Rating: 4.7

This game says 2-4 players and 8+. Definitely better with more players, because it's really hard with only a couple. Not as many people to attack the ghosts. And Finn (The 5 year old) can play with a little help.

This game is actually A LOT harder than you would think it would be, being a kids game.

It is a lot of fun though, it takes a lot of planning because if there's 3 ghosts in the room it causes a haunt and then two adventurers have to be in the room to vanquish the haunt.

Usually we have Finn go around and vanquish the ghosts first, and if there's a jewel in the room he grabs it, but its a big board and each room can get ghosts in it every time someone rolls. It's difficult.

This game is really easy to learn, it doesn't take very long to play, but it's long enough that it's worth playing. It keeps the attention of the 5 year old, and it's fun even for us adults.

What Finn Thought:
I liked this game a lot because it's a ghost huntin game! I just call it Ghost Busters, because they kill the ghosts like on Ghost Busters. I like when they're getting the crystals! We have to go into the rooms and kill the ghosts and put the crystals in the backpacks! To kill the ghosts you have to roll the dice and if there's three green ghosts they turn into a big red ghost! There has to be two people in a room to kill the big red ghost. I like the ghosts because they're so cute! And the red ones look like trolls.
This game is really really really fun!
