Wee Reads: Ducky and the Monsters by Lizlot Versteeg

Ever since Finn was born, and even before then, we would read to him. We wanted to show him reading from an early age. Now he loves us to read the same books, over, and over, and over. But it is the sweetest thing, when he likes to pick out a book and climb into our laps.

What Finn Read....

Ducky and the Monsters
Ducky and the Monsters by Lizlot Versteeg

This is Ducky. Ducky is on his way home. Cheerfully he walks to the forest. But hey, he has to go through the big monster forest! What will Ducky do? Do you think he is afraid of monsters?
Have a look!

On every page you can discover a color and recognize a part of the body. And with the monsters you learn how to count from one to ten! Can you spot the blue beetle on every page?

An instructive book about funny monsters and a brave little duck for hours of fun.

What Finn Thinks...

Finn just went crazy over this book. It was full of fun colors, counting, monsters, and so much fun. I had to read it to him about 3 times in a row and he didn't want to stop.  Finn interacted with my reading and really had fun with the story.

What I found adorable and loveable about this book was the story and the graphics. The story is really cute about a duck who cares for the monsters instead of being scared of them. The illustrations are just too adorable and bright and vibrant. I also found the book really good for teaching multiple things.. counting, colors, body parts, how to care for others, and how to be friendly and brave. I think this is perfect for ages 2-5 and maybe some adults too!
