Answer me This Halloween Edition: Horror Movies

Answer Me This. We are hoping this will help our friends get to know us a just a tad bit better.

For our Answer Me This Halloween Edition we decided to start with the horror movies. Do you like them? Do you not? What are some of your favorite horror movies?

Ash-
Y'all! I absolutely love horror movies. Horror is one of my favorite genres. I love thrillers too, anything that makes me jump or makes me scared or freaks me out, I am so there!

I watch horror movies probably more than anything else, even through out the year. But every Halloween, starting in October (I started in September this year, because I'm a rebel. And I watched 31 horror movies in September) I watch at least one horror movie a day.

Now with some of these "horror" movies I watch, I will put them on for background noise while I clean or blog or play on my phone or do my makeup... well you get the idea. So I'm not sure if you consider that watching or not?

Either way... Like I said I love all horror movies. Well... most. I have watched some really bad ones. I even love b-list horror movies. I think those are some of my favorites.

Jenn-

I do like horror movies… not as much as Ash but I do enjoy some. I am more the suspense thriller or suspense drama type of girl, but there are some horror ones I really enjoyed.

Some of my favorite slasher movies in the past are Scream and urban legend and stay alive.

Some other horror that I liked more on the freaky side instead of slasher side are Woman in black , The Others, Messengers, and Happy death day

Some Thrillers I have enjoyed is when a stranger calls, Panic Room, 10 Cloverfield Lane, Get out, Cape Fear, and the Call

Also really loved sixth sense. Not sure what category that falls under.

The slasher ones are okay but I love the ghost stories, hauntings or thrillers.

What are your favorite movies that give you the thrills and chills?

  1. Very fun! I love horror movies. Although, I tend to laugh my way through them. They’re so ridiculous. That doesn’t mean I don’t jump at the scary parts but I don’t get all that scared. I like true horror. Slasher films aren’t for me.

  2. I'm not a huge horror fan but I do like slightly creepy and suspense! I did see 28 Weeks LAter and parts of Shutter Island. And Panic room was good. Ooh Attack of the Killer Tomatoes haha- I should watch that. I've never seen Scream either!

  4. I’m not much of a horror fan. I just don’t enjoy getting shocked/scared. No thanks! Even so, I have seen a couple that you’ve mentioned. The original Scream movie. That wasn’t particularly scary to me since it was practically a spoof/satire of the genre. Sweeney Todd was dark, but not scary. THe Others... man, that one was spooky! The seance scenes gave me the creeps!

  5. I love Shaun of the Dead! 👍✨

I have not seen the new It movie, yet. I should watch it on Halloween. 🎃

One of my all-time favorite Horror movies is Prince of Darkness. It's an '80s cult ckassic. I read somewhere lady last week that they are going to make a television series of it. 😈
