Goodreads Summary:

Cassel Sharpe knows he’s been used as an assassin, but he’s trying to put all that behind him. He’s trying to be good, even though he grew up in a family of con artists and cheating comes as easily as breathing to him. He’s trying to do the right thing, even though the girl he loves is inextricably connected with crime. And he’s trying to convince himself that working for the Feds is smart, even though he’s been raised to believe the government is the enemy.

But with a mother on the lam, the girl he loves about to take her place in the Mob, and new secrets coming to light, the line between what’s right and what’s wrong becomes increasingly blurred. When the Feds ask Cassel to do the one thing he said he would never do again, he needs to sort out what’s a con and what’s truth. In a dangerous game and with his life on the line, Cassel may have to make his biggest gamble yet—this time on love.

Review:
I really love this series. This was the last book in the series, sad face, and it was a wonderful ending to a wonderful story.

It’s going to be really difficult to write a review on this book. So much happened and I don’t want to give anything away.

Cassel is back and he is on a mission. He is being pulled both ways. The mob wants him and the FBI wants him. He is very valuable to each side and Cassel is stuck in the middle. Especially when the girl he loves is doing very bad things. Not only does he have to tend with the FBI and the Mob, he has to find a way to clean up his mother’s mess. Her actions have just made the lives of all the curse workers much harder. I am a hard core Cassel fan and he didn’t disappoint in this book.

In this last installment there is murder, protests, government control, blackmail, and much more. Everything you expect out of a mob crime book. It was a very thrilling ride for me and I didn’t even realize how close to the end I was until it all started to wrap up, and it doesn’t do that until the very end. The book had me guessing after every page. I was completely clueless to the twists and turns in this book. It was exceptional.

The story was awesome and the writing was phenomenal. I will be rereading this series in the future. It has a definite, permanent placement on my shelves. If you have not read this series, I highly suggest you give it a try if you like mobs, crime, cons, and thrills.
