Wee Reads: Charlie's Magical Carnival by Marit Tornqvist

Ever since Finn was born, and even before then, we would read to him. We wanted to show him reading from an early age. Now he loves us to read the same books, over, and over, and over. But it is the sweetest thing, when he likes to pick out a book and climb into our laps.

Charlie's Magical CarnivalCharlie's Magical Carnival by Marit Tornqvist

Charlie can’t wait to go to the carnival. What amazing things will they see? Lemonade rivers and lollipop trees? Elephant taxis and a cake as big as the town square?

Do you like this book?
Yeah! It's so silly. Elephants instead of cars!? That's so silly.

What's your favorite part of the book?
When he got to ride on the elephant! I want to ride on the elephant! And then there was a tree with lollipops!

What do you think of the cover?
I like it. There's a cake on the elephant.

Charlie has a very active imagination. He can't sit still or be quiet, and imagines silly things like rivers made of pink lemonade, giant cakes, and lollipop trees.

This book has great illustrations and it was so much fun to read. We love all the bright colors. It teaches so much about imagination and how much fun kids have that it just makes you want to smile the whole time while reading it.
