Nailbiter is a graphic novel about a town in Oregan, called Buckaroo. Buckaroo has produced 16 of the United State's worst serial killers. The graphic novel focuses on why the town has produced the killers.

*Review for entire Nailbiter series*

What made me pick this book up:
Me and a friend of mine from work were talking about comics one day and he brought me in a bunch of them to read. He brought me in about 4 or 5 of them and he was telling me about this one and how it's about serial killers. Well, I love serial killers, and I love graphic novels. So that immediately made me want to pick this one up first.

What I like about the cover:
It looks creepy. It's a minimalist cover, but it shows exactly what the book is about. Which is about a serial killer who bites peoples nails.. before killing them.

What made me read this book:
Serial killers. Need I say more?

What I liked the most:
Just like with most graphic novels, this was a really quick read. It was bloody, and violent, and kinda gross. Everything that you want a good serial killer novel to have. I really enjoyed reading about the different serial killers that the town had produced. Like the blonde, the nail biter, and more. Joshua Williamson made the main serial killer, the nail biter, so lovable. He was funny and charismatic and you sometimes forgot that he was a serial killer. This graphic novel was humorous while also being completely horrific. The thing I really liked about the first Nailbiter was that it kept me wanting to read. It kept me wanting to know why the hell 16 serial killers were born and raised in Buckaroo. You just never know what will happen.

What I liked the least:
They are really short. I would honestly just buy one big book that had all the issues in it. I also wish that it had given more info about the other serial killers. I think the author should definitely make spin off's with the other serial killers. Even if something really small for each.

I read every one of these books within three or four days. I kept texting my friend to bring me more. I wish it had kept going, but the mystery was solved. The ending made it seem like he could write more if he wanted to. Also this series would make an awesome mini tv series.

  2. Oh God! A town that produces killers? Wow! Such a creepy premise but I'm intrigued. I like these kinds of stories and I don't mind a graphic novel. Maybe I'll give this one a try.
