Wee Reads: Tiny Fox and Great Boar by Berenika Kolomycka

Ever since Finn was born, and even before then, we would read to him. We wanted to show him reading from an early age. Now he loves us to read the same books, over, and over, and over. But it is the sweetest thing, when he likes to pick out a book and climb into our laps.

Tiny Fox and Great BoarTiny Fox and Great Boar by Berenika Kolomycka

Tiny Fox lives alone beneath his apple tree in the distant hills. He is a happy little animal, busy looking after himself and his foxy things. Then one day, a Great Boar appears and moves in under the apple tree, bringing with him a time of change and adventure. Is Tiny Fox ready?

Do you like this book?
Yeah! Because it has a fox and a piggy! I really like foxes. And there was snow and a tree with leaves falling!

What's your favorite part of the book?
When they meet an owl and when they play in the snow. I want to play in the snow.

What do you think of the cover?
I like how little the fox is! It's so cute!

Do you want me to read it again?
Yeah!

Tiny Fox and Great Boar is a cute little graphic novel about a fox and a boar who become friends.
They stay together through the winter and then run off together to try to find food. They get into a fight because they want to go two different ways, but when they try to go the two different ways they decide they can't leave each other.
The boar also encourages the fox to try new things and to be brave.

I think this is a great book because it teaches about friendship, and about how even if they fight, they decide they can't leave each other and won't go off alone. And it also teaches about encouragement, being brave, and to not always have to follow the same path. That there is other great things out there.

The artwork is absolutely beautiful, and it's such a simple and adorable book for children.

Also foxes are my all time favorite animals.

We received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
