Teaser Tuesday #52 and Top Ten Tuesday #42

Teaser Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by Should Be Reading. Bloggers choose two
sentences out of our current read to peak others' curiosity.

This book is just so fun to read. The quick wit and sarcasm has me rolling at times.

Teaser: Convesation between the MC and Fred.

Poison"I have some items of clothing I need to clean. Which I'm going to do. Down at the stream. By myself"
"Didn't everything you own get soaked when you took a dive in the river earlier?"
"Getting something wet doesn't make it clean. You don't do laundry by dipping it in water and hoping for the best."

"You don't"
Kyra grabbed her pack and set off down the hill.
"You need some help?" he called after her. "I'm really good at dipping things in water and hoping for the best."

Poison by Bridget Zinn

Sixteen-year-old Kyra, a highly-skilled potions master, is the only one who knows her kingdom is on the verge of destruction—which means she’s the only one who can save it. Faced with no other choice, Kyra decides to do what she does best: poison the kingdom’s future ruler, who also happens to be her former best friend.

But, for the first time ever, her poisoned dart . . . misses.

Now a fugitive instead of a hero, Kyra is caught in a game of hide-and-seek with the king’s army and her potioner ex-boyfriend, Hal. At least she’s not alone. She’s armed with her vital potions, a too-cute pig, and Fred, the charming adventurer she can’t stop thinking about. Kyra is determined to get herself a second chance (at murder), but will she be able to find and defeat the princess before Hal and the army find her?

Kyra is not your typical murderer, and she’s certainly no damsel-in-distress—she’s the lovable and quick-witted hero of this romantic novel that has all the right ingredients to make teen girls swoon.

Top Ten is an original feature/weekly meme created here at

The Key

The Reckoning (Darkest Powers, #3)

Every Day

This week was hard for me. I read a lot of series and havn't finished many so finding endings is really difficult in my reading world. Whats is on your list?

  1. I've only read the first 3, and I thought the ending of Boundless was super cheesy, but it fit. :)
