While trying to save her brother from a witch’s fire four years ago, Greta was thrown in herself, falling through a portal to Mylena, a dangerous world where humans are the enemy and every ogre, ghoul, and goblin has a dark side that comes out with the eclipse.

To survive, Greta has hidden her humanity and taken the job of bounty hunter—and she’s good at what she does. So good, she’s caught the attention of Mylena’s young goblin king, the darkly enticing Isaac, who invades her dreams and undermines her will to escape.

But Greta’s not the only one looking to get out of Mylena. An ancient evil knows she’s the key to opening the portal, and with the next eclipse mere days away, every bloodthirsty creature in the realm is after her—including Isaac. If Greta fails, she and the lost boys of Mylena will die. If she succeeds, no world will be safe from what follows her back...

I was so excited to join the tour and get my hand on this book. Starting with the cover, I love it. I can't help staring at it. ( I am probably hoping Isaac will come to life) The cover isn't the only great thing about this book. Its an urban fantasy and epic fantasy mix which I love. It crossed the line in just the right way. The story is awesome and it's filled with romance, action, adventure, and lots of fantasy. It was a page turner for me.

Greta has been living in a different world, Mylena, for 4 years. She has lived with a sprite as her guardian and he has taught her to fight, blend, hunt, and stay alive. Recently Greta met Isaac, the Goblin King. Isaac has invaded her dreams and her mind. He is not like other goblins and he knows she is human but wants to protect her not harm her. While Greta is out on a hunt, tragedy hits her close and she discovers she is hunted and there are others like her, the Lost Boys. To save the Lost Boys and herself she must now rely on Isaac for help, but its not that simple.

I really loved this book. I couldn't put it down. The writing is amazing. The book takes place in recent time but in a different world so it reads between urban fantasy and epic fantasy. It felt modern bu with a very epic tone.

The world that the author created consumed me. I was lost in the creatures and the history. Goblins, Sprites, faeries, oh my. There was a bit of everything and nothing was really good or evil except for their shared hatred of humans. There was a bit of a twist on the creatures that usually surrounds the werewolf myth that gave more awesome to the plot.

The writing was excellent, the world spectacular, the plot intriguing, and that brings us to the characters. This book had quite a slew to them. Greta is a very strong character. She is quick on her feet, smart  (most of the time)  stubborn, SNARKY, and pretty much kick-ass. She held it together pretty good considering what she has gone through and she is not afraid to embrace anything that comes her way.

I absolutely adored Isaac, he was so sexy. I never thought I would consider a goblin sexy, but he was. They are not all deformed and ugly or small in this book. He was tall, strong, chiseled, and a whole lot of yum. He's supposed to hate humans and want to kill them but he has fallen for Greta and wants to protect her.

The Lost Boys are very important to the story and there are quite a few of them, I didn't really feel as connected to any of them, but we didn't spend as much time with them individually. Wyatt, Ray, and Jacob I felt the most connected to. Wyatt is a great character and there is a tiny bit of a love triangle with him involved but not enough to really get me upset. He is a sweet boy and plays a very fatherly part in the Lost Boys, he was just way to sweet for Greta. I knew the entire time who I wanted Greta to be with.

A fantastic read, fast paced, exciting, and full of great fantasy. I can't wait to read more.

About the Author:

Chloe JacobsChloe Jacobs is a native of nowhere and everywhere, having jumped around to practically every Province of Canada before finally settling in Ontario where she has now been living for a respectable number of years. Her husband and son are the two best people in the entire world, but they also make her wish she'd at least gotten a female cat. No such luck. And although the day job keeps her busy, she carves out as much time as possible to write. Bringing new characters to life and finding out what makes them tick and how badly she can make them suffer is one of her greatest pleasures, almost better than chocolate and fuzzy pink bunny slippers.
