Wee Reads: Race Car Dreams by Sharon Chriscoe

Ever since Finn was born, and even before then, we would read to him. We wanted to show him reading from an early age. Now he loves us to read the same books, over, and over, and over. But it is the sweetest thing, when he likes to pick out a book and climb into our laps.

What Finn Reads....
Race Car DreamsRace Car Dreams by Sharon Chriscoe

After a day at the track of zipping and zooming, a race car is tired and ready for bed. He washes his rims, fills his tummy with oil, and chooses a book that is all about speed. All toasty and warm, he drifts off to sleep, he shifts into gear . . . and dreams of the race!

What Finn Thinks...

Do you like this book?
Yeah! I super like it!

What's your favorite part of the book?
He was dreaming of a race, and he won! And he was cuddling with his wrench and reading. I like his tires, but how does he close things? Tires aren't hands! This book makes me feel pretty stompy because I get really excited!

What do you think of the cover?
I like it! He was cuddling his wrench and he was sleeping on the sidewalk, and that's silly. Cars don't go on the sidewalk. But when he was sleeping his mouth was happy!

Do you want me to read it again?
Yeah- Next time!

What Momma Thinks...
The artwork in this book is absolutely stunning. The colors are gorgeous and it's just... beautiful. It's a really short, but cute book about a race car who is exhausted after a day of racing, and he just wants to relax.
