Tessa Hart’s world feels very small. Confined to her bedroom with agoraphobia, her one escape is the online fandom for pop sensation Eric Thorn. When he tweets to his fans, it’s like his speaking directly to her…
Eric Thorn is frightened by his obsessive fans. They take their devotion way too far. It doesn’t help that his PR team keeps posting to encourage their fantasies.
When a fellow pop star is murdered at the hands of a fan, Eric knows he has to do something to shatter his online image fast—like take down one of his top Twitter followers. But Eric’s plan to troll @TessaHeartsEric unexpectedly evolves into an online relationship deeper than either could have imagined. And when the two arrange to meet IRL, what should have made for the world’s best episode of Catfish takes a deadly turn…
Told through tweets, direct messages, and police transcripts.

What made me pick this book up:
Well, we were at the bookstore, and Jenn grabbed it and told me to read it. It was on my TBR though, I don't remember adding it, but I probably did because of the cover.

What did I like about the cover:
I love it. It's kind of creepy, and I absolutely love the colors. It's gorgeous.

What made me read this book:
The story had me intrigued, and most of the time when Jenn suggests a book, I really like it. It also seemed kinda creepy and I loved that a lot of it was on Twitter.

What did I like the most:
I really liked Eric. He was so sweet. I loved reading the twitter messages. And I like the main character for the most part... more on that later. I was completely submerged in this story. At first you don't understand what happened, and why there's a police report, and why they're being interviewed by the cops. But then it makes sense and you understand, and then in the end you really understand. I also really liked the mystery around why Tess is the way she is with her disorder.

What didn't I like:
Okay, I kinda liked Tess and kinda didn't. And the reason I say this, is she's a little whiny and you kind of want to say "oh come on, get over it already" but at the same time, she legitimately has something wrong mentally, due to something traumatic that happened. Something else I didn't like? Huge, major, gigantic, oh my god, cliffhanger. Not cool. I mean it was huge. I need the second book. Now now now.

Would I read the rest of the series/more from this author?
YES YES YES YES!

I did not want to put this book down. And I never saw what happened coming. About halfway through the book I was thinking "I'll probably rate this a three" Oh no.. I changed it to a 5 quickly.

  2. I read this a while back, but I love Eric too. I also like Eric and Tessa together and thought the mixed format was used well. The ending came out of nowhere, and just took me by surprise. I am definitely looking forward to the sequel.

  4. I was 100% obsessed with this book when I read it-- and I never saw it coming. It was way more romancey than I was expecting, which usually is a dealbreaker for me. I need to be mentally prepared for romance. But for whatever reason I was HOOKED on the romance and the darkness and just EVERYTHING in this book. I am DYING for book 2!!
