Answer me This: What was the highlight of 2017 for you? (photo overload)

Answer Me This. We are hoping this will help our friends get to know us a just a tad bit better.
A question will be asked and answers will be given by both Ash and Jenn. We hope you enjoy getting to know us outside of the bookshelves.

Ash:
Oh my goodness, where to even start! 2017 was an exhausting, but pretty amazing year.

We sold our house, moved to a rental, then moved again to our house that we had built. And in the middle of all of this, I got married.

Of course, the highlight of 2017 for me, was getting married. I married an amazing man. He is perfect for me in every way. He makes me laugh until I can't breathe, makes me feel like I'm perfect, and beautiful, and the only person he ever wants to be with, which, he better. Because he's kinda, ya know, stuck with me.
Anyway! I married my best friend, I know that's cheesy and typical of someone to say, but it's true. I couldn't have asked for a better man. He completes me, and for all my weaknesses, he has the strengths.
The wedding was perfect. It was simple, and beautiful. My aunt and uncle let us get married in the front yard, for free, and have our reception in their backyard, for free. So, they are kinda really great. My sister in law did my makeup, and made our cake, also for free. I had my uncle, and a really good family friend take our photos, for free. The only thing we paid for, was clothes, flowers, and food.
It was simple, small, and just perfect.

So here are some of my favorite photos from the wedding.

Jenn:

Well 2017 was a wonderful year. Of course one of my most treasured moments of the year was Ash getting married. It was a wonderful wedding and reception and John is such a great guy. I am so very happy for the two of them.
Ash already highlighted the wedding, so I will move on.

My other highlights. My brand new house. We worked so hard the last part of 2016 to get this house and once we had the go and the walls began to go up... well foundation then studs then walls.... we were on cloud 9. In April the foundation was laid and July 28th we closed and moved in. In fact the night before closing we had a moving truck loaded and locked down and while Michael and I were closing - Ash and John were driving the moving truck to the new house. We were all so very excited. We took the following week off for vacation and was pretty much unpacked and all put in their prospective places during that week.

Here are some while being built I don't take the best pictures, sorry.

This is the outside. I don't have a full one with the landscape but you can see the masonry and the entire front.

My kitchen and living room are open to each other along with a breakfast nook:

This is my dining room - which has nothing but a table currently and the den/office:

Our first big event in the new house was Finns 4th birthday.

Not only getting the new house, moving into the new house, but also all the first holidays in the house. Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas and New Year's Eve Game Night when it snowed! Its been such a blessing.

Another highlight was Groot, my new puppy. He is almost 8 months old and about 85-90 lbs. He is hard to weight. He is huge and sweet. Oh and little dumb and clumsy, but we love him.

Groot ( 7months old on the left) and Luna (my 9 yr old German shepherd) yes he is huge.

It was a great year!!!!
