Wee Reads: Where's Spot by Eric Hill

Ever since Finn was born, and even before then, we would read to him. We wanted to show him reading from an early age. Now he loves us to read the same books, over, and over, and over. But it is the sweetest thing, when he likes to pick out a book and climb into our laps.

What Finn Reads....

Where's Spot? (Picture Puffin - Lift-the-flap book)
Where's Spot by Eric Hill

For more than three decades, children have been looking everywhere for Spot in this classic, first-ever lift-the-flap book. Is he in the piano? Is he under the stairs? After finding other familiar animals, there he is in his basket!.

What Finn Thinks....
This started as a book I gave Finn while at the check out line when getting groceries. I gave it to him to distract him and he ended up loving it.
One of Finn's favorite parts of the book is the fact that you can lift the flaps, and under the flaps are animals. He loves to make the sound of whichever animal is under the flap, like a lion, or a snake (You should really hear his snake hissing noise, it's pretty cute)
I like this book because it teaches him how to "find" things, even if it is just as simple as looking under a flap. It's also cute because it teaches animals. It has great illustrations, and great colors. I think I'm going to have to get Finn more of these books!

Other books by this author we need to try (although there are many many more)
