Follow Friday #22 and TGIF #6

Follow Friday is a weekly meme hosted by   Rachel of Parajunkee and Alison of Alison Can Read!

Q: If you could "unread" a book, which one would it be? Is it because you want to start over and experience it again for the first time? Or because it was THAT bad?

A: I will admit that I am a huge Twilight fan. It's the only book that has ever made me feel like a raging fan girl and act like a fool. It's the book that made me read more YA and realize I love YA books. It's the book that set me on my reading addiction all over again. I don't know what it is about this series, but they hooked me good. So I would love to unread and read again to get the feeling back that I first experienced when reading Twilight for the very first time.  Another book I would add to the list that is one of my favorite series is the Wicked Lovely series. Even though this series did not turn me into a raging fan girl, I fell madly in love with every character and love the darkness of the story.

Authors Are Our Celebrities: Have you ever contacted
an author you admired? How did that experience go?  If not, which author would you love to have a chat with?

A: I have met many authors and book conventions, signings, and at my book club. There is never enough time at conventions and signings to really talk to them but at the book club I attend (volunteer at) have been fun experiences. I always get a giggle about meeting authors. We book lovers do see them as celebrities and when I have sat down and talked with them, they are just as nice and crazy as all their readers. I think the most memorable time was when Tracy Deebs came too our local library teen book club where I volunteer.

Tracy Deebs

She is absolutely hilarious and fun to be around. she lets off an energy that is so amazing and contagious. She is really down to earth and so patient. The book club I am apart of is for teens at the library and some of the younger ones can get a little out of hand. She always handled it with style. She had a new book she was working on and wanted some ideas for a title, she was really stuck. She asked around and listened to everyone's ideas. She later told the teen librarian that she used one of the ideas, but wouldn't tell us which. It would remain a mystery for now. I thought that was really cool to involve the teens. She was way cool.

  3. I wasn't a major fan-girl of Twilight, but it was a decent read. (The first two books that is - the last two irked me.) This is the 1st post I've come across that wants to unread Twilight because they WANT to read it again for the 1st time. You know? Interesting. :)
