Review:

I am going to start off by saying this was a much unexpected joy in my reader life. I picked up this book thinking the title and synopsis sounded cute. I wasn’t expecting too much but a fun read. I did get a fun read but I also laughed by hiney off, shed some tears, and felt much warmth in my heart. This was a feel good, laugh and cry, enjoyable down to the last word book.

Rachel finds out after some very strange things start happening that her mother is a witch and her sister too. Her little sister Miri who is 12 just received her powers. Rachel does not think this is strange, or approaches with caution, she is jealous, jealous that her sister has magical powers and she does not. Since this is so unfair she plans to take every advantage of her sister’s witchihood and make some changes in her life. This does not go as planned as magic does not always happen the way you planned and seems to always come with a price.

Rachel is so funny, she is dramatic and snarky and a whole lot of selfish. Miri is really sweet, caring, and her only desire is to save the world. Their mom is just clueless and their dad thinks everything in his world is boring and normal, the way it should be. For these 4 people, their world is going to change and along with them will be a few innocent or not so innocent bystanders.

I really just loved this book, everything about. It’s light and fluffy on the outside but warm and gooey on the inside. It completely went beyond my expectations.
