Amy quickly realizes that her awakening was no mere computer malfunction. Someone-one of the few thousand inhabitants of the spaceship-tried to kill her. And if Amy doesn't do something soon, her parents will be next.

Now Amy must race to unlock Godspeed's hidden secrets. But out of her list of murder suspects, there's only one who matters: Elder, the future leader of the ship and the love she could never have seen coming.

Review:
This book was amazing. It took me a while to read this book. I kept seeing it advertised and rave reviews, but I didn’t think it would be my type of book. I have never really been into the space thing. Well I decided to give it a try and I am really glad I did.

This story has a little bit of everything; romance, mystery, murder, conspiracy, thrills, suspense, and much much more. This story was fast paced and very well written. The setting is on a ship deep in space. The author did a wonderful job with creating a futuristic environment. I felt that everything happening on this ship could really be available in the far far future.

I really enjoyed the story between Amy and Elder. The relationship between the two starts off as intrigue to friendship to romance, and I could feel it growing throughout the story. Amy is strong character. She was able to handle many things thrown to her in a world she knew nothing about. We feel Amy go through many emotions, fear, sorrow, confusion, and loneliness. Amy agreed to be frozen and boarded onto a ship to sleep until they reached the new world. What Amy received was a thawing out somewhere in between worlds on a ship full of strangers that live in strange ways. Everyone on the ship sees Amy as a freak and she has no idea who thawed her out and why. Not only was Amy thawed out, but since her thawing others that were frozen were being thawed to death. Amy is concerned not only for her own life but the lives of her parents who are currently frozen. She is also lost on the ship, unable to fit in and unaware of rules of life on this ship. She trusts no one and she knows no one, until she meets Elder and Harley.

Elder is a 16 year boy who has no known heritage or family. He was born to one day become the next Eldest of the ship. He has always known the ways of the ship and has never questioned them until he met Amy. Amy brings questions , confusion, and new feelings into his world.

I was emerged into this story from the beginning, it was a real page turner for me. I didn’t want to put the book down. The book alternates between Amy and Elder’s points of view. I love this in my books. I love to get in the minds of all the characters I can. I really liked Amy and fell in love with Elder. I am excited for the next installment and this will be a must own series.
